Event preparation and implementation is an integral part of the marketing communication of our clients, and an effective tool with a precisely defined goal.

We do not recommend to our clients that they organise events only "for the sake of organising them" or because "it is expected", but get together to look for answers to questions as to why, for whom, where, and for how much. And the timing of the event is a critical factor in success.

Clients have matured over the years of their cooperation with us. They are more and more involved in designing the concept, aware of the scope of the work, and intervene in the programme. They are more demanding in terms of logistics and the programme of each event and have a basis for comparison. That is why we think deeply about events, are not afraid to experiment, time them well, and keep improving things. We look for new event formats, change their focus and scope, and search for inspiration everywhere.

We must not repeat ourselves: that is an imperative! Quality is a concern for us, from the invitation to the attire of the serving staff and a gift upon departure.

And of course, events are a part of comms and as such should be set into broader PR landscape.

AC&C Public Relations organises several dozen larger as well as smaller events for its clients every year – from press conferences to large product launches, social, sports, and outdoor events for several thousand guests. In organising events, we make use of our extensive know-how, a database of tested venues, programme schemes, and direct contacts to exclusive entertainers, artists or music bands.

Several related events for journalists, VIP clients, and customers have been prepared for the launch of the new generation of the best-seller in the premium SUV category, the Volkswagen Touareg. The task was to approach all these target groups within a short period of time, present the cars to them as much as possible, involve them in test drives in a demanding terrain, and top all this off with a gala evening event.

The individual part of the event took place outside of Prague, in terrain, as well as downtown. Preparation was demanding in terms of logistics and staffing.

The part for journalists took place on day one, with test drives and the presentation of the car's driving characteristics, in the demanding terrain of what were once military practice grounds. At the same time, a structure for day two was built, when all of the invited guests gathered on the Vltava embankment to enjoy a cruise under Prague's bridges and accepted our invitation to an evening banquet at Slovanský ostrov. It took place both in the garden, where the cars were exhibited, and inside the palace, with a rich programme and more car models directly on the dance floor. On day three, there was more testing and dealers took care of their customers.

The agency prepared all aspects of the "turnkey" event, with the precise timing of each step, thorough briefing of the staff, and tested suppliers. Our mutual efforts to achieve success paid off, and the goal of the event was met: Volkswagen Touareg again went to the top of its segment.
